About Ink Roads

Ink Roads is a blog focused on meaningful, intentional travel.

I believe travel helps us connect to ourselves, each other, and the world around us, and I want to help inspire travelers to journey in a way that truly nourishes their souls and benefits all those they come across.

I also believe travel, spirituality, and creativity are all intertwined, and so my blog is meant for artists, dreamers, seekers, and those who see magic in both the ordinary and the extraordinary.

The world around us often mirrors our inner state, and travel is always both an internal and external journey. Here I hope you and I will learn to find beauty and magic in ourselves as well as in the world around us.

About Me

My name is Eden, and I’ve been in love with telling stories about the world around me for my entire life.

I majored in English and creative writing at Barnard College of Columbia University. From there I started work as an entertainment writer, and I’ve also freelanced for Atlas Obscura, Slate, Expore.com, and more.

I’m also a singer-songwriter and released my first EP, Altars, in 2020, and will be unveiling my first album, Portals, while on the road.

And I’m an avid traveler, and some of my favorite adventures include a solo road trip across America; a homestay with a druid in rural France; and a year spent living in an art collective located in a convent in San Francisco.

Additionally I am passionate about climate justice, and I believe that healing the relationship between humans and the earth (which also means healing our relationships with each other, because we are not separate from the earth…) is one of the most critical tasks of our time.

With Ink Roads, I hope to inspire people to live the lives they long for and to travel with intention, purpose, awareness, and wonder. I believe that magic comes into our lives when we keep our eyes open for it, and I hope to help everyone who ever comes across my work to open their eyes just a little bit wider.
